Aetech to Unveil Waste Sorting Robot at CES 2024
Waste resource sorting robot solution development company AETECH announced on the 4th that it will participate in CES 2024, the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA from the 9th to the 12th.
At this exhibition, AETECH will unveil the waste sorting AI robot 'Atron' for the first time on the North American continent. The live scene of Atron installed at the household waste sorting site will be shown in virtual reality (VR) video.
In the video, it can be seen that the robot accurately classifies recyclables in a real-life environment with many obstacles, not just in an environment set up for easy execution of commands.
Atron is an AI robot designed to automate the existing waste sorting work that relied on manpower. It identifies recyclables from household waste by learning from over 2.6 million data points. Atron is known to perform sorting work with 99.3% accuracy, which increases the speed by 240% and reduces the cost by 279% compared to manpower.
