The waste resource sorting robot development company AETECH has announced on the 24th that it has received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award as an 'Excellent Institution in Patent Strategy for 2024'.

The awards were presented during the '2024 Patent R&D Conference' hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and organized by the Korea Intellectual Property Strategy Development Institute, held at the Yangjae L Tower on the 23rd. AETECH was also selected as an Excellent Institution in IP-R&D last year and received the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office Award.

AETECH is a startup that provides waste management solutions. As part of its solutions, AETECH has developed, manufactured, and sold the AI-based waste resource sorting robot 'Atron', and has filed 18 patents domestically and 7 patents overseas related to it.

AETECH is strategically conducting research and development (R&D) based on intellectual property (IP) to continuously strengthen its IP portfolio. In July of this year, it was selected as the final winner of the Global Awards presented by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a UN agency, becoming the first domestic company to achieve this.

AETECH is consistently developing and enhancing its business model based on intellectual property. Thus, it has commercialized the AI waste sorting robot 'Atron' for the first time in the country, and has installed a total of 20 robots, continuing to hold the record for the most installations in the country.

An AETECH representative stated, "We will continue to dedicate ourselves to research and development to realize our vision as a tech company that aims to innovate the resource recycling market through technology."
