AETECH, RETECH Exhibition Quick Reviews in One Line!

: From the Hyper-spectral Equipped Atron to the Unveiling of the Rebranding Strategy!

The ‘RETECH 2024 (Waste & Resource Recycling Industry Exhibition)’ held at KINTEX from August 27 to 30 was successfully concluded. AETECH has now participated in this exhibition for the third time, and this time showcased an upgraded version compared to the existing Atron 1.0, featuring new hyper-spectral vision sorting technology.

Now our Dual Atron demonstrates overwhelming technological capabilities, capable of hyper-spectral AI sorting, capturing the attention of the visitors at the exhibition hall.

This summer was particularly hot. Throughout that boiling season, we had a summer more intense than anyone else, aiming to showcase the new Aetech and the advanced Atron. Let’s take a look at the records of the RETECH exhibition that adorned the end of summer.

Sorting with Atron in the Near Infrared Range Using Hyper-Spectral Vision

AETECH’s objective for the 2024 RETECH exhibition was to demonstrate superior waste ‘sorting’ technology. We found answers in hyper-spectral vision technology. The conventional RGB optical system only analyzes the visible light spectrum, leading to inevitable errors. However, the hyper-spectral optical system analyzes the near-infrared range, which is invisible to the human eye, allowing for enhanced sorting accuracy through improved sensing.

Innovative Sorting with Atron (with Hyper-Spectral)

During the RETECH exhibition, AETECH showcased the sorting methods of hyper-spectral and RGB vision side by side through two displays. While the two visions differ in the spectrum they can see, the scanning methods vary significantly as well. If RGB vision scans the area captured by a camera in an Area Scan method, hyper-spectral vision uses a Line Scan method, resulting in different data representations. The data from hyper-spectral vision is rendered as a spectrum graph for this reason.

Thanks to this, sorting has become more accurate and detailed. Beverage bottles resembling PET but made of PP and shampoo bottles appearing as PE but made of PET can now be sorted according to their material.

The attendees who visited the AETECH booth also showed considerable interest in material-specific sorting of plastics using hyper-spectral vision. We will not only enhance hyper-spectral sorting but also advance AI and robotic control technologies, as well as the supporting hardware design, once again improving the sorting accuracy of Atron and solidifying our position as a leader in sorting technology.

AETECH Rebranding: The New Era of Sorting

What is the biggest change for Eight Tech, marking the 2024 RETECH exhibition? It is the branding strategy. AETECH, a startup that commercialized waste sorting AI robot technology for the first time and holds the highest delivery performance record, made a significant decision to highlight its innovation.

The new era of sorting that AETECH will create began with rebranding. As a company leading the future of resource recycling, we have restructured our branding strategy and unified our design language. Changing the logo that represents the company was a natural step.

Functional yet Elegant Design of AETECH

Our design language aims to appeal to our main clientele by being clean and simple, while ensuring that our technological values are not overshadowed by the image of waste. If the engineers' task was to showcase hyper-spectral sorting technology during the preparation for the RETECH exhibition, the branding task was to complete a booth reflecting the new branding and design strategy.

Not only the many visitors to the AETECH booth but also our first clients, the employees of AETECH, expressed high satisfaction with the new design. This is likely due to the well-captured essence of AETECH’s innovation.

Furthermore, based on the branding strategy, we showcased differentiated AETECH technological capabilities. RETECH, being an exhibition for the waste and resource recycling industry, saw various waste sorting technology companies participate. Amidst them, our overwhelming technological capabilities were clearly demonstrated in technical branding.

As numerous competitors emerge, what AETECH excels at and must continue to excel in is sorting. We presented this sorting capability through our unique technical branding, ‘3nity’ and ‘wai-kor’. More detailed stories about Eight Tech’s technical branding can be found on the ‘Technological Capabilities’ page.

2024 Waste Management and Processing Technology Presentation: Leading the Future of Circularity

This RETECH exhibition also featured various conferences covering waste and resource recycling. Notably, on the second day of the exhibition, at the <2024 Waste Management and Processing Technology Presentation & Dream Park Resource Recycling Forum>, AETECH’s CSO, Ryu Jae-ho, participated in the pitching session. It was a time when the slogan of leading innovation in resource recycling through the advancement of AETECH’s technology stood out.

For a sustainable planet, the recycling of waste resources and circular economy solutions must continuously evolve. Through the RETECH 2024 exhibition, AETECH also sought insights on the current state and future direction of the waste resource recycling industry.

In the future, AETECH will strive to be a startup that achieves more accurate and faster innovations in the resource recycling industry. We hope for your interest and support!
