BigWave, global scale-up support 'BigWave Global' has completed the selection of three companies
The representative investment attraction platform of Incheon, 'Big Wave', jointly created by Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Creative Economy Innovation Center (Incheon Center), announced on the 29th that the 'Big Wave Global' program, prepared to support the global market entry of target companies, is now in full operation.
Incheon Center selected three companies from the target companies supported by Big Wave in the first half of last year that were deemed to need global scale-up: Able Labs (liquid handling robot manufacturing), AETECH(waste sorting robot manufacturing), and Sije (DX solutions for the clothing industry) to carry out activities for investment attraction and market entry into Southeast Asia in Singapore.
These three companies participated in the investment attraction and open innovation roadshow 'Must Connect', held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore on the 23rd and 24th, engaging in investment attraction activities.
After the IR presentations, the participating companies held 7 to 8 one-on-one meetings with investors to discuss investment attraction and cooperation plans for global expansion.
They then visited startup ecosystems such as JTC (Jurong Town) and the Fenggou Smart City, which are representative innovation districts in Singapore, to explore local entry and collaboration possibilities. They also expanded their network by attending Singapore's largest startup conference 'Switch 2024', which started on the 28th.
Lee Han-seop, director of the Incheon Creative Economy Innovation Center, stated, “Singapore is the best test bed for promoting global expansion or investment attraction as it is a financial hub where capital is gathered towards Asia,” adding, “As the global expansion of domestic startups is no longer a choice but a necessity, we will actively support them to achieve concrete results.”
